Today is the 25th anniversary of Ani DiFranco's ninth studio album, Up Up Up Up Up Up, released in January of 1999! This album features the members of her 1997 touring band - Jason Mercer on bass, Andy Stochansky on drums, and Julie Wolf on keyboards, accordion and backing vocals. This was Wolf's first appearance on one of Ani's albums. This album further spotlights Ani's distinctive acoustic guitar, and is an exploration of the politics of love and the personal dimension of political issues.
The fourth track, Jukebox, was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of Female Rock Vocal Performance.
