Rita Houston Interview: At Home with Ani Di Franco 2004

Rita Houston, Nationally recognized tastemaker and long-time Program Director of New York’s WFUV, has sadly passed on from this world. In honor of her joy and curiosity, we offer an old interview between Rita and Ani, friends and respected colleagues. This informal chat was recorded in 2004 inside Ani DiFranco’s recording studio in Buffalo, NY. Rita Houston leads Ani to discuss touring, politics, community, and Ani’s then recently released album Educated Guess. Also included are previously unreleased live recordings of "Bliss Like This," and the title track "Educated Guess.” Kick off your shoes, make yourself comfortable, and spend a little time At Home With Ani DiFranco. This conversation will air Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 12pm and 5pm CST.

Acoustic Cafe
Acoustic Café is a two hour weekly radio show, and an independent media production of RDR Radio, LLC. The program is produced and hosted by Rob Reinhart, who started the show in 1995.  Each week, listeners around the globe tune in to Acoustic Café to hear the latest from today’s great songwriting talents. It’s hard to put a definitive label on Acoustic Café’s music selections. After all, a good song is a good song… any individual set of music could contain a bit of country, rock, blues, folk, pop… and more!  In addition to classic songwriters (oh, you know who they are…), Acoustic Café wants to bring as many newer talents to the table as possible. Hear this week’s program by clicking here! Also, you can hear a few year’s worth of our interviews and performances by visiting our archives here.  Airing Fridays at 10am CST
