Kristen Ford - Filthy Nasty

The debut record for Kristen Ford, produced and featuring June Millington (Fanny) was recorded in the same "big red barn" where Ford learned to play guitar. This sweeping, produced record still holds up today, featuring songs like "Red Couch" and "Sky Factory" from kfo's wild Chicago debauchery, "Better" written in high school and "Vancouver" and "Hey Girl" which are impressive for anyone, let alone on a debut. There was an autographed poster of Ani Difranco in the vocal booth, which helped young kfo rise to the challenge of signing boatloads of harmonies, doubles, triples and lead vocals on her first album.
